Spending summer in a sweltering capital doesn’t need to be a dreadful thing! In this week’s #whatson we are exploring Berlin’s swimming possibilities around the city. Luckily the public pools are just starting to re-open in time for summer arriving. The public pools are all over the city and two of our favourites, the pool in Wimelsdorf and Prinzenbad in Kreuzberg are both open again!

This week (12 06.2020) one of berlins most beautiful summer spots is opening back up. The Badeschiff is a unique swimming pool floating inside the spree river in Berlin Kreuzberg. As part of the Arena club areal it is not only a beautiful pool but also an event location and a nice space to enjoy the sun until the late evening hours.

Belin being located in the Brandenburg Lakeland has many lakes to offer for swimming and a ride on the boat. These days Berliners take the opportunity and are going on bike tours to one of these many lakes
There is the inner city Plötzensee which is surrounded by a natural reserve but can be accessed by swimmers at the swimmers beach.
Further to the west are the Tegeler See and Flughafen See near the Airport Telgel.
Going to the south you can choose between going to the Krumme Lanke, Schlachtensee or Wannsee, with many individual swimming spots and the Café and beach at the Wannsee.
